About the event
Join The Descendants Project and Inclusive Louisiana Boots on the Ground, a line dance fundraiser and community event hosted at the 21 Events Space in Laplace April 26 from 6 to 9 p.m.
Creole faire such as turkey necks and greens will be available as well as vegan and vegetarian options.
Proceeds collected from t-shirt sales will be given to the Stop The Grain Train to support their efforts end the Alabo Wharf Expansion and construction of the Sunbelt grain terminal.
Before the line dance event Inclusive Louisiana will host a fan and boot decorating event in conjunction with Boots on the Ground from 3 - 5 p.m.
Transportation between the events will be provided by United Front Transportation, LLC.
TDP will also be honoring the passing of Representative Raúl Grijalva and his support for the activism of south Louisianans against polluters and his love for line dancing.
